The body of a man found Saturday near the Carson River in north Douglas County has been identified as Charles Michael Mose, 43.
Douglas County Sheriff’s Office investigators identified Mose who was reported as a missing person to Washoe Tribal Police Department on May 5. Mose had been visiting friends at a residence on the Stewart Indian Colony in south Carson City when he went missing, reports Douglas County Sheriff Sgt. Jim Halsey.
He was reported to have last been seen as he left for a walk along a horseback riding path near the Carson River, at the south end of Bigelow Drive in Carson City, Halsey said in a press statement. The cause of death has not yet been identified; however no signs of foul play were present.
It is unknown how long Mose had been at the location.
