UPDATE: A power outage affecting traffic lights from Long to 5th Street in Carson City this afternoon appears to be resolved. A downed power line from a gust of wind reportedly knocked out the power at around 12:40 p.m.
Traffic lights were up and functional at 12:55 p.m. along Washington and Robinson streets and other streets began to follow, according to Carson City dispatch.
NV Energy, Public Works and the Carson City Fire Department responded to a downed power line. Wind gusts have been around 25 mph this afternoon. Meanwhile, a flood advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service through 4:15 p.m. for northwestern Lyon County, southeastern Washoe and Storey counties.
Scattered showers around Carson City can be expected this afternoon.
