Two masked men who robbed a casino in the 300 block of East Winnie Lane in Carson City at around 9 p.m. Thursday night remain at large and are considered armed and dangerous, said Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong.

Two completely masked male suspects entered the Slotworld Cabaret casino where one of the men pointed a .22 caliber pistol at two casino employees. The robbery occurred while the employees were preparing to close the business for the evening, said Furlong.

One of the suspects ordered both employees to the ground and threatened to "kill" them if they moved. During the robbery, the second suspect, described as a larger man, calmly walked around the counter and began removing money from an open safe. After removing the money, the two suspects took both of the employees cell phones and fled out the back door of the casino. No one was injured during incident.

Witnesses in the area reported that at the time of the robbery, they saw two masked suspects leaving the rear of the casino.

While no detailed descriptions were available, the witnesses stated that the two suspects entered a gray Chevrolet Envoy with a possible license plate similar to KHALEA and fled the area toward north Carson City. A check of the reported license plate numbers has not developed any leads to identify the suspects.

The Sheriff is asking for anyone with information regarding this robbery to please contact the Carson City Communications Center at 775-887-2014. We would like to emphasize that the reported license plate number may be a variation of the exact plate. Both suspects in this matter should be considered armed and dangerous.
