An 18-year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday, 10:04 p.m. in the 1800 block of East Long Street on two counts misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to have a white head light on a bicycle, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
According to the arrest report, an officer stopped the bicyclist for not having a head lamp after he was observed crossing Highway 50 East in front of a casino.
When the officer confronted the bicyclist after following for few blocks in an unmarked police car, the man began to yell for his mother, the arrest report states. Officers found two pipes, one with marijuana residue and the other with meth residue, the arrest report states. Bail: $2,346.
— A 50-year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday, 7:26 p.m. in the area of South Carson and Sonoma Street on suspicion of DUI. According to the arrest report, officers made a traffic stop after observing a vehicle failing to maintain a lane on several occasions while driving south on Carson Street.
The man admitted he had been drinking when asked by an officer, the arrest report states. He showed signs of impairment on the horizontal gaze test as well as the walk and turn and one leg stand. He provided a partial preliminary breath test of a .120 and was placed under arrested. At jail he consented to a breath test with results of .148 and .133. Bail: $1,137.
— A 36-year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday, 12:30 p.m. in the area of Emerson and College Parkway on a warrant, violation of a suspended sentence, issued Aug. 20, 2013 out of Carson City Justice Court, driving on a revoked license and basic speeding.
According to the arrest report, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for traveling 41 in a 25 mph zone.
Officers met with the driver who identified himself. A dispatch check for wants and warrants showed the man’s license had been revoked and that he had a confirmed warrant from Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,749.
— A 22-year-old Carson City in custody at Carson City jail Thursday was served with a warrant at 6:18 a.m. for contempt of court, issued Jan. 6, 2015 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $500.
Those arrested and facing criminal charges are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
