
The Washoe Valley Alliance will play host to a full day of festivities on Saturday, May 16, 2015 during the second annual Celebrate Washoe Valley event at Washoe Lake State Park.
Celebrate Washoe Valley is a special event created to help educate, inform and engage the community about the importance to maintain the natural beauty and preservation of the Washoe Valley. Admission is free to attendees courtesy of Washoe Lake State Park and guests will enjoy live music and complimentary food provided by the Boy Scouts.
Guests are invited to come and learn more about the organizations that support and protect Washoe Valley.
Demonstrations and activities are available for the whole family to enjoy and include representatives from Washoe Lake State Park, Washoe County Parks, Scenic Byway, Scenic Nevada, Truckee Meadows Parks Foundation,
Washoe Valley Garden Group Master Gardeners, South Valleys Library, Bureau of Land Management, Lahontan Audubon Society, U.S. Forest, Boy Scouts Troop 150, Truckee Meadows Fire Dept., Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful, Nevada Land Trust, Washoe Valley State Tree Nursery, Washoe County Sheriff, Canine Rehabilitation Center and Sanctuary, No. Nevada Bluegrass Assoc., Washoe Tribe, South Valleys Volunteer Fire Department, Franktown School Alums.
