The suspect was quickly taken into custody without incident. An undisclosed amount of cash was recovered from the suspect, along with a knife.

The suspect is being identified as Terry Wayne Fowler, born 12/20/61, out of Crescent City, CA. Carson City Detectives and FBI Agents are investigating the robbery. Fowler was booked into the Carson City Jail on the charges of Robbery, with bail listed at $40,000.

The Sheriff’s Office credits Wells Fargo employees with the success of this arrest. The entire incident was resolved within 4 minutes. The man, identified as Terry Wayne Fowler, 51, made off with a bag of money and was caught by Carson City Sheriff's Office Sgt. Brian Humphrey in the Mills Park Shopping Center parking lot, across the street from the bank.

Humphrey said he heard the bulletin from dispatch while driving in his unmarked patrol vehicle across the street from the bank. He drove up behind the U-Haul rental shop, where he spotted the man carrying a blue polka-dot bag. When he got out of the patrol vehicle, the man saw that it was a uniformed officer and took off running, Humphrey said.
