Armed robbery at Carson City restaurant, two at large

UPDATE: Two men remain at large Tuesday night after an armed robbery at San Marcos Grill in Carson City. The suspects are described as white, wearing jeans, black shirts, with black bandanas over their faces and beanie-style hats.

Carson City Sheriff's Office Detective Doug Speegle said the suspects each pointed handguns at the worker and demanded money. Both men, described as having thin builds between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet, 10 inches tall, fled on foot from the alley of the restaurant after receiving an undisclosed amount of money from the worker. Both suspects are still at large.

Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Doug Speegle of investigation division at (775) 283-7858. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of people committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.

UPDATE: Carson City Sheriff's officers are investigating an armed robbery Tuesday night at San Marcos Grill restaurant, 260 East Winnie Lane. Cash was taken and guns were pointed at an employee outside the restaurant who was standing in the alley, authorities said.

"An employee was standing outside the restaurant in the back alley and was accosted by two male subjects each with handguns," said Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong.

The robbery was reported at around 7:30 p.m. Officers are looking for two white men, mid to late 20s, wearing black shirts each with handguns. No one was hurt in the robbery, said Furlong.
