A 27-year-old man on a motor scooter led officers on a pursuit this afternoon in which the suspect crashed his bike into a Carson City sheriff’s patrol car.
Joseph Gregory Scurti of Carson City was treated for minor injuries following the low-speed pursuit, that began on Woodside Drive at 3:09 p.m., continued onto Sherman, Airport Road and then came to an end at the intersection of Highway 50 East and College Parkway when Scurti's TaoTao scooter collided with a patrol car, flattening the tire.
Scurti was wearing a helmet. He was booked on charges of eluding officers and felony warrants for his arrest, said Carson City Sheriff’s Sgt. Scott McDaniel.
