On Wednesday night, Carson City Sheriff deputies arrested Saul Montez, 25, of Carson City, for felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor driving with suspended registration.

According to the arrest report, the suspect was stopped near the intersection of Edmonds and Gordon because the vehicle's registration was suspended.

The arresting deputy reported that the suspect was acting very nervous, but consented to a drug dog searching the vehicle. When asked what the dog would find, Montez reportedly told the deputy about a pipe and a small amount of meth, which was recovered from the vehicle.

Bail was set at $3,550, plus court fees.

Here's another entry for the Reality Is Stranger Than Fiction File:

A 49-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Wednesday afternoon for gross misdemeanor battery on a peace officer and misdemeanor violation of a suspended sentence. According to the arrest report, a deputy responded to the 900 block on East 5th Street on a report of a bicycle-car collision. He found a woman nearby "who appeared intoxicated and belligerent." The deputy learned that the woman was the victim of the accident.

The woman was drinking a "large alcoholic fruit juice can" but refused to put it down while talking to the deputy. She said the man who hit her while she was riding a bicycle took her to his apartment and gave her two of the cans, and she drank the first one before calling 911 to report the incident.

A records check found that the woman was in violation of a suspended sentence for a previous offense.

The woman continued to be belligerent to the deputy and paramedics who were examining her injuries, and she refused to identify the vehicle, driver or any information about the other party to the accident. She was eventually transported to the hospital where she became increasingly uncooperative and rude to the emergency room staff. The deputy reported that he had to physically take a lit cigarette away from the woman after she lit it up next to some oxygen tanks in the emergency room. While trying the leave the hospital, the woman reportedly began hitting and kicking the deputy multiple times. The nurses tried to calm her down, but the woman didn't listen and was screaming profanities, "causing a major scene."

After being put in jail cell with other females, the suspect caused a disturbance and had to be moved to another cell by herself.

Bail was set at $3,500.
