A former Carson High School teacher faces charges of having sexual conduct with a student and the Carson City District Attorney's Office has issued a warrant for her arrest.
Jennifer Dalton, 35, quit the school district in November 2011 for personal reasons and has been on administrative pay since Sept. 1, 2011, Carson City School District Superintendent Richard Stokes told the Nevada Appeal.
The alleged misconduct was with a 17-year-old student, according to the Carson City District Attorney's Office. An investigation led to the charges. She has not been arrested as of Wednesday morning.
"Recently our forensics and analysis was completed and was submitted to the District Attorney's Office and they thought it was significant enough to charge her," said Furlong.
