UPDATE 415PM: Evacuations have been lifted in the industrial park area near the chemical fire earlier today off of Lockheed Way. Those who left their vehicles in the area, can now safely go back to pick them up. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

UPDATE 2PM: Carson City Fire Chief Bob Schreihans tells KRNV that the fire has been knocked down as of this afternoon after firefighters began fighting it at around 9 a.m. From here, teams will continue the mop and cleanup of hotspots while investigators attempt to determine the cause of the blaze.
UPDATE 12:20PM: Agencies working the fire at Lockheed Way have asked to close down traffic for motorists on Arrowhead at Lockheed. Thick smoke is blanketing the area and more fire resources are headed to assist. Please avoid the area.

UPDATE: A portion of Arrowhead was to reopen for motorists at around 11:30 a.m. Motorists are still urged to avoid the area. Meanwhile, the roof of the building is said to have become unsafe, which forced firefighters to come down off the building. According to dispatch, all firefighters were ordered to exit the building. No injuries have been reported.
Also, Additional water trucks have been ordered to the area because the trucks on scene are nearly out of water. We've added video below of Carson City Mayor Bob Crowell and City Manager Nick Marano addressing PCC Structural employees who were evacuated.

UPDATE: Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong said a chemical acid is in the warehouse that is burning in the 2300 block of Lockheed Way, PCC Structurals. Businesses in the area are being evacuated for safety measure. JAC buses are on scene to shuttle people who work in the industrial area.

UPDATE: Multiple fire districts from around the area have been called to a warehouse fire in the 2300 block of Lockheed, according to Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong.
There are chemicals stored in the area, leading to an evacuation being ordered for surrounding buildings, according to Furlong.

Carson City Fire Department has sent multiple engines to an industrial structure fire in the 2300 block of Lockheed Way. Several buildings in the area are being evacuated.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. It was called into dispatch at around 9 a.m. Carson City sheriff's deputies are establishing points where it is closing roads in the area. Traffic is being rerouted at Arrowhead and Goni Road.
Units from Washoe County and Lake Tahoe fire agencies are also responding to this fire.
Motorists should steer clear of the area as emergency vehicles arrive.
