Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong confirms his office is investigating the hospitalization of a toddler. Furlong says the boy is currently on life support but is not expected to survive.
Saturday evening just before 5:30, Sheriff's deputies and Fire Department personnel responded to a 911 call for a child who was breathing but not conscious. The child was at a home in the 2200 block of E. Long St. in Carson City.
Sheriff Furlong says the boy lived there with his father and the father's girlfriend. The couple and three children were in the process of moving homes. Furlong says the girlfriend was there when the toddler's condition was discovered. She called the father who returned to the home, then she called 911.
