Carson City's Comstock Casino was on lockdown in the early hours of Friday morning after the bomb squad was called in due to a suspicious box being found outside of the casino.
According to Sheriff Ken Furlong the bomb squad was called to the scene and they conducted a thorough investigation before determining the box was empty.
Patrons of the casino were held inside between the hours of midnight and 2 a.m. while law enforcement agencies checked the surrounding parking lots. All patrons were kept away from the North side of the casino, according to one patron.
After 2 a.m. patrons were allowed to leave the casino once it was determined that the box was not a threat.
