UPDATE: Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong reports that a 17-year-old male juvenile was taken into custody Monday night and faces vandalism charges involving a spree early Sunday in which at least 40 victims were targeted.
Furlong said the male was "somewhat" cooperative and arrested mid-evening. A second juvenile has been identified but was uncooperative. The suspect was arrested based on the surveillance video, taken in the area of Big O Tires on Hot Springs Road, said Furlong. The juvenile seen spray painting in the video below was arrested on suspicion of the vandalism.
The spree, discovered early Sunday and into Monday covered an arc of areas on the north and east side of Carson City. There may be others involved, added Furlong.

Early Sunday morning Carson City was hit with a rash of graffiti with more than 40 separate victims that had their property damaged by spray paint or other means, according to the Carson City Sheriff's Office.
Surveillance video obtained from one of the victims shows two individuals in the process of defacing the property with spray paint. The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying these two subjects.
