Sheriff Ken Furlong says his Sheriff’s SWAT team and other personnel raided what he called a “drug house” at 413 Long, off Roop at around 4:30 Sunday morning. Their entry was preceded by what is referred to as a distractive “flash bang” to confuse the occupants before officers storm through the doors.
Five adults and a 4 year old child were apprehended, the adults taken to the city jail, the child to child protective services. Sheriff Furlong said detectives and deputies had bee watching the house for “some time.”
SWAT actions are usually launched when authorities have a reasonable suspicion that whoever they’re after possess weapons.
