The Crossroads Bar at Winnie Lane was burglarized this morning, with the cleaning person inside the business at the time they broke in, said Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong.
The burglary happened at around 6:30 a.m., and involved two men, each wearing dark clothing and ski masks. They made entry, possibly using tools, gaining access through the back of the business at 300 east Winnie Lane across from Lone Mountain. Some evidence has been recovered, according to officers on scene. The cleaning person was not injured.
Deputies are at the scene, combing the area, looking for footprints and other evidence. It is the second incident in the past 11 hours involving a business. Last night at around 8 p.m. the Adam and Eve store at Highway 50 East was robbed at gunpoint. Evidence was collected at the scene, and involved a lone white male suspect. He is described as 5 feet 4 to 5 feet 8 inches tall with a stocky build.
The suspect was wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, light colored pants, black gloves, black shoes, and a dark colored bandana over his face. The suspect pointed a black handgun at customers and employees during the robbery and fled on foot. Evidence has been collected in that robbery.
