A 57-year-old Carson City man, Jessie Archuleta, was arrested Saturday, 2:45 p.m. at Highway 50 and Centennial Drive on suspicion of felony possession of controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia.
Archuleta was stopped for failure to maintain lane and was asked to exit the vehicle and agreed to be searched, the arrest report states. The officer located a glass smoking pipe with a white residue consistent with methamphetamine. When told what was found, Archuleta said, “Damn, I forgot about that.” Archuleta also said he had pain pills and a bag of meth on his person, the arrest report states. Bail: $3,637
In other arrests: A 46-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday, 9:58 a.m. in the 3000 block of Desatoya Dr. on a misdemeanor contempt of court charge. The man’s vehicle was found in the area with a warrant attached to it. A check through dispatch for wants and warrants showed a warrant issued through Carson City Justice Court. The warrant was issued for failure to appear on a court date. Bail: $5,000
— A 25-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday, 12 a.m. at Mountain and Bath streets on misdemeanor DUI, second offense, license revoked for DUI and violation of suspended sentence.
According to the arrest report, officers were dispatched to the area in regards to a report of an intoxicated driver. A traffic stop was initiated and the driver, smelling moderately of alcohol, was asked if he had been drinking. The man replied that he had not. The man was then asked to participate in a Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. The man agreed and performed the tests in unsatisfactory manners. He provided a preliminary breath test with a sample at .78.
Due to the man’s observed driving patterns and performance of the SFST, he was taken into custody for DUI. Dispatch advised that the man’s driver’s license was revoked for a previous DUI and that he was on probation with the Department of Alternative Sentencing and the Department of Alternative Sentencing. Bail: $4,774.
— A Carson City man was arrested Sunday at 1:21 a.m. on the 2000 block of Highway 50 East on misdemeanor DUI. The driver was stopped after an officer noticed unusual driving patterns. The man was asked if he had been drinking. He replied that he had about four beers before driving. The man submitted a preliminary breath test that resulted in a .134. Bail: $1,137.
— A 31-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday at 10:38 a.m. on 400 block of Winnie Lane on misdemeanor violation of suspended sentence. The man was contacted and confirmed a warrant issued out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,000.
— A 27-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Saturday at 1:34 p.m. on 3000 block South Carson Street on misdemeanor fail to appear warrant. According to the arrest report, an officer was sent to the area in regards to a child custody dispute. The officer helped resolve the child custody issue and then confirmed to the woman that she had a traffic warrant. Bail: $855.
